A four-alarm fire is burning at a row of homes in Newark.

The fire has engulfed at least 3 homes on Garside Street according to WABC TV which reports heavy smoke initially coming out of the windows.

There are no injuries reported because of the fire which was battled by over 100 firefighters according to the station which says the fire may have started in an abandoned building.

A live helicopter shot of the scene shows five firetrucks on the scene pouring water on the homes.
