New Jersey National Guard unit returns home
JERSEY CITY (AP) — More than 160 citizen soldiers will be home in time for July Fourth.
Army National Guard soldiers assigned to Alpha Company of the 2-113th Infantry Battalion return Thursday to the National Guard Armory in Jersey City after serving nine months supporting military operations in the Persian Gulf.
The troops provided security for a Navy facility in the Gulf.
The troops represent 13 of New Jersey's 21 counties.
