It's a subject that has received national attention lately as more and more children are becoming victims.I'm talking about bullying.  In fact, New Jersey has responded with some of the toughest anti-bullying laws in the nation.

For anyone who has been bullied, you know the pain it can cause.  You know the feeling of not wanting to go to school and not wanting to take part in the activities you once loved.  You know what it feels like to have regular stomach aches, difficulty breathing, heart palpitations and nails bitten until your fingers are bleeding.  You know what it feels like to have a full blown anxiety attack.  While these physical symptoms are usually common in stressed out adults, unfortunately, these are the same feelings many children are suffering, a direct result of being bullied by their peers.

11-year-old East Brunswick resident Jonathan Seltzer knows these feelings all too well.  He has suffered at the hands of multiple bullies for most of his young life.  And while he has felt the exact symptoms I have just described, he has somehow found a way to fight back and make a difference.

His story is heart-breaking, compelling and in many ways, unbelievable, when you hear that children can be responsible for inflicting such pain on other children.  Starting tomorrow, I will share Jonathan's story  through a series of reports which will air from Wednesday through Friday.    Thank you Jonathan for your courage.   You are truly an inspiration.
