RED BANK — Pediatric surgeon Dr. Saad Saad  faces additional charges of inappropriate sexual contact as three girls between age 14 and 17 came forward

The new allegations come after a grand jury in July brought charges against Saad for having inappropriate sexual  contact with a 17-year-old girl during an office visit at the Meridian Pediatric Surgical Associates in Eatontown on May 1. Those charges were made public in July with a request by Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher J. Gramiccioni for additional victims to come forward.

The Red Bank resident now faces a total of four counts of fourth-degree criminal sexual contact and second-degree endangering the welfare of a child.

Gramiccioni believes additional cases have yet to be reported. They can be reported to the Prosecutor's Office by calling 1-800-533-7443.

Information can also be reported anonymously to Monmouth County Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-671-4400 or by texting "MONMOUTH” plus their tip to 274637.

"We are confident the credible evidence and circumstances of each case will show Dr. Saad is innocent of any inappropriate behavior," his attorney, Michael Pappa said Friday in a statement.

"He has had a 40-year career of adhering to the highest medical standards of patient care. I have received dozens of letters from medical colleagues, office assistants and former patients vouching for his good character, professionalism and reputation for honesty. All have offered to testify as a character witness for him in his defense."
