We’ve all seen enough "Final Destination" movies to make us irrationally preoccupied with some driving scenario.

The log truck from the opening of "Final Destination 2" is the obvious one. But don’t a lot of us get paranoid driving behind a car carrier? The "what if" thought is there for many of us.

Or how about the paranoia of seeing someone standing on an overpass you’re going to drive under? Have you randomly thought, What if they throw a concrete block down at your car?

Some are afraid of driving over a bridge. Some are worried about a tire going airborne and heading right at their windshield.

A Millstone crash may add another fear to the list

A frightening crash in Millstone Township this week may add a new fear.

Authorities say emergency crews had to rescue two people after their car somehow became lodged underneath a Walmart tractor-trailer at the intersection of Monmouth Road and Burnt Tavern Road. This happened Wednesday at about 5:30 p.m.

Officials say the victims were trapped inside the mangled vehicle for quite some time before firefighters and first responders were able to free them with special equipment.

Two people survived despite the devastating damage

In pictures posted on Facebook by the Millstone Township Fire Department, it doesn’t look like this would have been survivable.

Yet they did.

They were sent to a hospital for medical treatment. Their conditions have not been released and, as I write this, authorities continue to investigate what caused the crash.

I know you didn’t need one more thing to be paranoid about on New Jersey’s crazy roadways, but there you have it.
