Man shot outside Cheeque’s Lounge strip club in Linden

LINDEN — A 24-year-old man was shot Saturday morning outside a city strip club.

A patrol officer said he heard gunfire outside Cheeque's Lounge on East Linden Avenue about 2:47 a.m.

The officer said he found the man standing in the parking lot across the street from the bar bleeding from his abdomen.

He was treated at the scene and taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in Rahway, where he was listed in stable condition.

Several shell casings were recovered from the scene.

Police did not release other details.
