Man Dies from Self-Inflicted Gunshot Wounds at South Jersey Hospital
A man who shot himself in the emergency room at Inspira Medical Center in Woodbury around noon on Thursday has died of his injuries.
In a statement the Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office says the unidentified man walked into the lobby of the hospital shortly before noon as others looked on and pulled the trigger.
The man was survived what the Prosecutor's Office calls a suicide attempt and was taken to Cooper Medical Center in Camden. There were no other injuries and the 305-room hospital was not evacuated or locked down. He was pronounced dead late Thursday afternoon according to a statement from the Prosecutor's Office.
