Mahwah Woman Shot By Man In Home

Authorities say a woman was fatally shot by a man believed to be her husband in a home in Mahwah.

The Record newspaper reports the home on Polo Lane was owned by a retired couple, according to neighbors,  who were suprised to wake up to the Bergen County SWAT team and other police on their block.

Prosecutor John Molinelli tells the newspaper the suspect let an older woman out of the home after the shooting. Her relationship with the man and woman is not clear.
