Lowest approval rating for any US governor in over 20 years belongs to Chris Christie
The search for rock bottom continues.
According to a new poll from Quinnipiac University, Chris Christie's approval ratings have dipped even lower than the 19 percent reported back in December. Christie's approval rating is now a very pathetic 17 percent. The survey concludes that Christie's disapproval is 3-1 or higher among every party, gender, education, age or racial group except Republicans, who disapprove 53 to 39 percent.
It's always good to be known for something, right? Just think, we have another 11 months of this. Could we see an unprecedented single digit approval rating in this state before his term is up? Only time will tell. Christie is tackling drug addiction in his final year as Governor; an issue that has no political lines. The results could lead to a slightly higher approval rating by the end of 2017, but it's hard to imagine the public opinion of him changing that much.
What would it take for Chris Christie to get back in your good graces? If he's pissed you off during this dreadful second term, which led to his approval rating sinking like the Titanic, how could he make it up to you? By legalizing marijuana? Or turning Xanadu into the world's largest public restroom? How about removing tolls altogether? Sure, maybe it's not realistic, but sometimes you have to take extreme measures to prove that you're sorry.
