Kane’s Head High IPA: NJ Craft Beer Review Ep. 4

This week we check out the highly regarded Head High from Kane Brewing Company in Ocean. Kane has quickly become one of the most respected breweries in New Jersey and like we say in the video, they are masters at making incredibly tasty beer.

Head high is a year round offering from Kane. It's their take on an American style IPA and they use the famous "C-hops" from the Pacific northwest in this brew. We're talking Chinook, Columbus, Cascade, Centennial and Ctira. The real art here is how they include these hops at different points throughout the beer making process to draw out the fruity profile they want. Also, I feel their proprietary yeast is playing a big role in this beer. It ferments Head High to a crisp, dry finish making the hops really pop.

The result is an incredibly drinkable, flavorful, perfectly bitter IPA with beautiful notes of grapefruit, citrus, tropical fruits like mango and passion fruit, and just a tiny hint of pine. As you saw in the video we all really enjoyed this one.

Kane self distributes so they are readily available at bars and restaurants across the Garden State. Of course you can always try what they have to offer at the brewery itself. If you've never tried Head High from Kane, stop what you are doing right now and go find it. If you live in New Jersey this one is a must try!
