Class A North

No. 9 Freehold Twp. 59, Marlboro 55

Senior Jayden Holmes-Cotter scored 28 points and grabbed 16 rebounds to carry the Patriots (14-3, 6-2) to a win over the Mustangs (7-9, 3-5), avenging a loss to Marlboro earlier this month.

Senior Malachi Harris added eight points, five assists and two steals, while senior James McCarthy also scored eight points to go with six rebounds.

No. 8 CBA 54, Howell 47

Sophomore Justin Fuerbacher took over with a game-high 20 points and the Colts (11-6, 7-1) held off the Rebels (6-14, 0-8) to clinch the outright Class A North championship.

Senior Joe White added nine points and classmate Will Bradley and junior Peter Noble each threw in seven for CBA.

Junior Chris Meehan scored 14 points and senior Damien Padilla added 10 to lead Howell, which cut a 45-33 deficit to 50-47 with 40 seconds left. Junior D.J. Orloff and sophomore Zach Padilla each chipped in eight points in the loss.

Class A Central

Freehold Boro 58, Matawan 54 (OT)

Sophomore Brian Tassey scored 18 points to go with four assists and two blocks as the Colonials (6-13, 1-9) withstood a late-fourth-quarter rally to knock out the Huskies (11-8, 4-6) in overtime.

Junior Christian DiGiso added 13 points and four assists, while senior Mike Bisaha threw in eight points and six rebounds for Freehold Boro, which led by seven with under three minutes to go.

Sophomores Jayden Elijah and Chauncey Brown each scored 21 points to lead Matawan.

Holmdel 64, Long Branch 44

Junior Ben Kipnis connected on six three-pointers on the way to a game-high 27 points as the Hornets (8-9, 6-4) kept their Shore Conference Tournament hopes alive by handling the Green Wave (3-16, 3-7).

Junior Nick Seeloch also poured in 15 points for Holmdel.

No. 3 Raritan 53, St. John Vianney 41

Senior Jack O'Leary scored a game-high 19 points while grabbing eight rebounds and the Rockets (17-0, 10-0) pulled away to beat the Lancers (9-11, 6-4), win their 17th straight game to open the season and complete a perfect run through Class A Central divisional play.

Senior Jack Coleman added 15 points and senior Matt Agar netted eight to aide the Raritan cause.

Senior Kyle Verriest and sophomore Aiden Ur each scored 10 points to lead St. John Vianney.

Class B North

No. 4 Middletown South 59, No. 10 Colts Neck 51

Senior Pat Brown scored 23 points while grabbing 11 rebounds and the Eagles (14-4, 8-2) topped the Cougars (13-5, 6-4) on the road to clinch the Class B North championship -- Middletown South's second division championship in the last four years.

Senior Dylan Csik also added 11 points, five assists and four steals while junior Ryan Denery added eight points for Middletown South.

Senior Will Surdez scored 15 points to lead Colts Neck, including the 1,000th of his career on a free throw with just under seven minutes remaining in the fourth quarter. Junior Mike Belcher also added 15 points and senior Eric Lavin pitched in nine in the loss.

No. 7 Rumson-Fair Haven 70, Middletown North 54

Senior Mason Yablonski led a balanced scoring output with 12 points and the Bulldogs (13-5, 7-3) rolled through the Lions (3-16, 0-10) to do their part in attempting to win a share of the Class B North championship.

Rumson entered the night needing a win, plus a Colts Neck win over Middletown South to earn a three-way tie for the championship with those two teams, but Middletown South claimed the outright title by winning on the road.

Sophomore Luke Schorr and senior Marco Gangemi each scored 11 points and junior Nick Rigby pitched in eight for Rumson.

Junior Jason Quardt led Middletown North with a game-high 16 points and Brayden Marcotte chipped in 10 in the loss.

Red Bank Catholic 78, Red Bank 55

Junior Tyler Burnham and sophomore Ryan Prior each scored 19 points and the Caseys (11-9, 6-4) accelerated past the Bucs (7-11, 3-7) to take the rubber match between the two crosstown rivals.

Prior hit five of Red Bank Catholic's 14 three-pointers, while sophomore Sean Saxton knocked down four on the way to 16 points.

Senior Nick Cosimano scored five points as the only representative from his class on Senior Night at RBC.

Red Bank could not keep up despite hitting 11 threes of its own. Senior Colin Teter buried three in scoring a team-high 14 points, while juniors Braydon Kirkpatrick (11 points) and Jameson Ackerman (nine) both match him with three. Senior Nick Valentino also chipped in 12 points in the loss.

Class B Central

Point Beach 83, Henry Hudson 71

Senior Kevin Burns led five Point Beach players in double-figures with 28 points and the Garnet Gulls (12-5, 7-1) outscored the Admirals (9-11, 0-8) to clinch a share of the Class B Central title -- their first piece of an outright division title since 2014-15.

Senior Stephen Seaman added 15 points, junior John Coakley contributed 12, and both senior Kyle Kolans and freshman Jacob Edgecomb scored 11 apiece for Point Beach.

Henry Hudson senior Jax Ross scored a career-high 34 points to lead all scores. Sophomore Jack Fitzpatrick added 23 and senior Luke Jaccodine tossed 12 in the loss.

Class C North

Ranney 51, Neptune 40

Senior Isaac Hester posted 25 points, nine rebounds, five assists and five steals as the Panthers (10-9, 4-6) closed with a strong fourth quarter to deny the Scarlet Fliers (5-11, 2-8) a season sweep.

Senior Jahlil Bethea chipped in 12 points and six rebounds while junior Drew Buck added 11 points and seven boards for Ranney, which outscored Neptune, 15-4, in the final quarter to seal the victory.

Senior Davionne Pearson led Neptune with 16 points.

No. 1 Manasquan 81, Wall 26

Sophomore Darius Adams scored a career-high 34 points in just three quarters and the Warriors (18-3, 9-1) coasted to a win over the Crimson Knights (2-15, 1-9) to clinch a share of the Class C North co-championship -- Manasquan's 10th consecutive official Shore Conference division championship and 13th consecutive win within the current season.

Senior Jack Dettlinger added eight points and senior Jhamier Howard chipped in seven for Manasquan, which also won an unofficial regular-season pod championship during the COVID-shortened 2021 season. Since the 2012-13 season, Manasquan has won at least a share of an outright division or pod championship every year.

No. 2 St. Rose 60, Point Boro 39

A dominant first half and a 13-2 run to close the third quarter powered the Purple Roses (17-2, 9-1) past the Panthers (12-6, 5-5) and to their first share of a division championship since 2010-11.

Class C South

Ocean 53, Shore 47

Senior Brandon Loughlin scored 16 of his team-high 18 points in the second half and the Spartans (14-5, 8-2) beat the Blue Devils (11-4, 5-3) to clinch a share of a Shore Conference division title for the first time in 51 years.

Sophomores Zayier Dean and Ron Richardson carried the load during the first half for Ocean, with Dean scoring 11 of his 15 points and Richardson eight of his 14 before halftime to stake the Spartans to a 25-23 lead.

Junior Alex George scored a game-high 22 points to lead Shore and senior Donovan Hughes pitched in 11 in the loss. Shore's pursuit of a division title ended Tuesday night, but the Blue Devils can play spoiler Thursday at Donovan Catholic, where the host Griffins will try to clinch a division co-championship along with Ocean.

Non-Division

No. 6 Jackson Memorial 72, Manalapan 66

Samir Padilla, Respect Tyleek, Keith Adame and Charlie Meglio all turned in big performances on Senior Night and the Jaguars (16-4) outlasted the Braves (10-8).

Padilla scored a game-high 21 points, Meglio posted 17 points and eight rebounds, and Tyleek struck for 16 points, eight assists and seven steals.

Adame, meanwhile, shot 4-for-4 from three-point range in the second half, finished with 14 points, and joined the 1,000-point club for his career.

Senior Jake Buchman led Manalapan with 19 points. Senior Dylan Sullivan added 12 points and junior Anthony Leger pitched in 10 in the loss.

Non-Conference

Keansburg 69, Academy Charter 34

Senior Mike Alonso went off for 25 points and the Titans (6-7) picked up a necessary win over Academy Charter in keeping their hopes for Shore Conference Tournament qualification alive.

Senior Jordan Bey added 16 points and classmate Isaiah Goodman pitched in 10 for Keansburg.

Barnegat 66, Camden Tech 36

Sophomore Cole Toddings scored 18 points to lead four Barnegat players in double-figures and the Bengals (7-12) rolled to a win over Camden Tech.

Junior Jamari Smith pumped in 16 points with four three-pointers, junior Shawn Javines chipped in 11 points, and sophomore Mason Krey contributed 10 for Barnegat.
