  • Kevin Burke, retired Major of the NJ State Police announces they had raised over 1 MILLION dollars before 11am for SONJ.
  • Marc Edenson, President of SONJ donated a combined $75,000 to be split between Long Branch and Seaside Heights schools.
  • Little Silver Cops donated a check for $90,000!!
  • The NJ State PBA donated $25,000!!
  •  Others that have joined Big Joe Henry today, Seaside Heights Police Chief Tommy Boyd, Long Branch Mayor Adam Schneider, NJ PBA President Tony Wiener, Monmouth County Prosecutor Chris Gramiccioni and the dignitaries just keep on coming!
  • An estimated 25,000 people are on hand for the event
  • We have approximately 4,300 swimmers taking the plunge this afternoon
  • Our oldest swimmer today is 91 year old.
  • The water temperature at plunge time is 37 degrees
