It's unusual to be able to walk out of the house in December with a pair of flip flops on and no jacket.  But, we've been able to do that over the past couple of weeks as we've seen warmer than usual temperatures in New Jersey.

Over the past few months alone, we had a hurricane with extreme flooding followed by a tropical storm.  Then, we had an unprecedented snowstorm in October and here we are in December in short sleeved shirts and open toe shoes.  What gives?

Is it just a rarity in the weather pattern or are we on the verge of entering a new normal?  I'll answer your questions on Thursday.  Tune in for my reports with State Climatologist David Robinson.
