Over the weekend I made fresh tomato sauce from Jersey plum tomatoes that I bought at a local farm stand.

This time of year I find them to be the sweetest. It seems like they know it's their last shot at producing their best taste.

I asked my partner Judi if she had ever made fresh sauce from fresh Jersey tomatoes. She said it seemed like a lot of trouble and would it really be worth the extra effort?

Ohhhh yeah, it is! I think it's the best tomato sauce in the world and I really mean that.
