Have you seen him? Man tried to rob shore store, got chased by clerk with bat

OCEAN CITY — Ocean City Police are looking for the man wanted in the attempted robbery of a cell phone store.

Police said in a post on their Facebook page the man came into the store on Thursday night around 7:45 p.m. and told a clerk to put money in a bag the man was holding.

The clerk grabbed a baseball bat, and ran toward the man, who ran out of the store, police said.

The man was described as having a bandana on his face and wearing a hooded sweatshirt.

Police ask anyone with information about the incident to call 609-399-9111.
