Good Samaritan killed while helping hit-and-run victim
A Good Samaritan was struck and killed on Saturday morning while attempting to help the victim of hit-and-run accident in Hamilton, according to a report by WPIV-TV Philadelphia.
The incident occurred around 6:15 a.m. on I-195 eastbound between exits 1 and 2. According to police, a car spun out of control and into the westbound lane after being struck by another car. The driver of the second car then fled the scene, the report said.
A third driver who witnessed the crash stopped his vehicle in an apparent attempt to offer aid. The report stated that the driver of the third car was fatally struck by a pick-up truck when he exited his vehicle, according to the police.
Neither of the other drivers involved in the accident were hurt. The driver in the pick-up truck remained at the scene. No names have yet been released. The Hamilton Police department is investigating the crash.
