A Fort Lee man has been arrested and charged with murder for allegedly striking a woman with his car and repeatedly backing over her body after police say she was trying to end their relationship.

The Bergen County prosecutor's office says 26-year-old Charles Ann of Fort Lee is charged with the murder of 25-year-old Aena Hong of Fort Lee.

Ann was arrested 4 a.m. Monday at a friend's apartment in Flushing, New York. Authorities believe Ann, who they say had a large amount of cash and his passport, may have been attempting to flee to his native South Korea. It's not clear if he has a lawyer.

Hong was struck Monday evening around 5 p.m. in a Fort Lee intersection. Witnesses saw her walking and arguing with the driver.
