Firefighters in Trenton were working to extinguish a blaze in a two-story building on South Clinton Avenue, according to published reports.

The blaze is believed to have started around 8 p.m. and firefighters were using ladder trucks to access the roof of the building, NJ Advance Media has reported.

No additional information is available regarding whether anyone was in the building when the fire erupted. The first floor of the building is occupied by Lira's Grocery Deli, NJ Advance Media reported.

Officials from the Trenton Fire Department were not immediately available for comment Thursday night as crews continued to work toward extinguishing the blaze and investigating the cause of the fire.

This is a developing story. Additional information will be posted as it becomes available.
