Fatality near Metropark impacts NJ morning commute
Passengers faced major delays on New Jersey Transit's Northeast Corridor after a train struck and killed a person early this morning.
The incident took place after 5 a.m. by a train headed for New York struck an unidentified 58-year-old man.
Earlier 90 minute delays between Trenton and New York in both directions were down to 20 minutes by 9:30 a.m.
PATH cross honored tickets as did NJ Transit buses during the morning commute. Private varriers are now also accepting NJT Rail tickets/passes between Trenton and Metropark.
