Duncan, Tank, Jed, Arthur and Merlin need forever homes [NJ Pets of the Week]

NJ101.5 has partnered with local animal rescue organizations EASEL Animal Rescue League and Friends of EMAS (Edison Municipal Animal Shelter) to feature adoptable local pets in need of homes. Help us find these pets homes by sharing this information with family members and friends who may be interested in adopting a shelter pet.

Adopt Duncan

Duncan is a handsome young male, with soft white fur and attractive grey patches. He is a lovable boy, who engages everyone who walks by his kennel with big, gorgeous eyes. Duncan has great social skills and gets along well with other cats. He is extremely gentle and affectionate. No one understands how he ended up in the shelter. He is neutered and up-to-date on his vaccinations,

Adopt Tank

Tank's a sweet and friendly dog with a beautiful and soft coat. He's well behaved in the car and housebroken. Tank enjoys walks, especially when there's a lot of new scents for him to smell. He knows some commands. Tank enjoys lying in the grass and soaking in the sun. He can be stubborn at times, so a firm hand will be necessary at times. He can also be dog-reactive toward some dogs.

Adopt Jed

Jed is a very affectionate and mellow senior dog. Sadly, his owner passed away and he had to be relinquished to the shelter. He was in a very loving home with another dog and about eight cats. Jed is very gentle and thoroughly enjoys our contact with him. He loves to be petted and takes treats very gently. Since he is a bit older, he would be happiest as the only dog in a quiet home. Jed would be great just hanging out with you watching TV, sitting by the fire and occasionally taking a little walk.

Adopt Arthur and Merlin

Arthur and Merlin are "purrfect together!"  These two 7-to-8-year-old gorgeous males have been together since they were kittens. Arthur is a solid white Angora mix and Merlin is a solid black domestic short hair. While they are both shy at first, they warm up quickly and are exceptionally loving cuddlers. They come to their foster parent by name and rush to see who can get into her lap first. Their owner passed away at a very young age leaving these two beautiful cats without a home.
