FORT LEE — A driver had only a broken arm after his SUV was crushed between two tractor trailers on the George Washington Bridge Monday morning.

Port Authority Police said the 61-year-old man was involved in a crash with the trucks on the inbound upper level of the bridge around 11:45 a.m., closing down the lanes. The Pawling, New York, man was had to be cut out of Mercedes Benz and suffered a broken leg and left arm and contusions, according to police, who said no summonses were issued.

The upper level reopened to traffic about an hour later.
