DJ Cohen battles on — How this ‘unicorn’ inspired Dennis and Judi

When you think of someone who inspires you, who's the first person that comes to mind? Friend of the show DJ Cohen goes above and beyond inspiration.

For those unfamiliar, DJ Cohen is a loving husband and father who was diagnosed with stage four pancreatic cancer back in 2015. Instead of letting this disease get the best of him, he goes out of his way to spread joy and positivity to everyone he meets.

Since the last time we spoke to DJ back in August of 2016, he has undergone more than a dozen chemotherapy treatments, bringing his total close to 60. DJ is still dressing up in costumes everyday, including a unicorn costume that he wore to the studio today.

DJ is not only battling cancer head on, but he's continuing to write and perform original poetry and music. We were blessed to have him recite his poem titled "Battle Scar" on the air with us, which you can see in the video above.

He has even taken voice lessons to improve on his singing, and it's obviously showing in his latest song, "Pay It Forward", which you can here below.
