Here are a few tips that may help you relax and add enjoyment to your holidays.

Try to keep a normal routine.  Don't skip going to the gym or going for your daily walk.  Whatever you do on a normal day..do it.

I know the weather is chilly, but try to spend time in the sunshine.  The sun gives off serotonin that scientists say perks up your mood.

Laugh!  Watch a funny movie, video, or read a humorous book.  Laughing reduces stress hormones.  Some doctors say laughter helps the immune system.

Have some chili or maybe buffalo wings with a "kick."  Spicy foods trigger endorphins.  Endorphins give a sense of well-being.

Hey honey, have some honey.  "Bee" good to yourself and enjoy some of this sweet stuff that can give you a burst of energy.  Honey is also a good source of antioxidants.

As the Doobie Brothers advised.."Listen to the Music."  Listen to your favorite songs.  Music will help you relax and feel less anxious.  Of course the music is out to play all weekend on New Jersey 101.5.

and finally,

Grab a lemon or grapefruit.  A study says that the citrus fragrance can alleviate stress.

So there you go.  Get out a lemon and a pair of ear buds and enjoy a stress-free holiday season.
