During his monthly "Ask the Governor" radio show, Christie said Wednesday evening that he is a "complete supporter" of mandatory vaccines.

He repeated that he and his wife had their kids vaccinated and said that's the best measure of his stance.

Christie was criticized after telling reporters in Cambridge that he believed "parents need to have some measure of choice" when it comes to vaccinations.

But he said Wednesday he was referring solely to the issue of mandating new vaccines.

Christie's trip garnered lots of negative press. But the governor said it's already paying dividends.

He blamed the bad headlines on reporters looking to justify their airfare.
