The latest part of the plan to repair Gov. Chris Christie's post-Bridgegate reputation took place on Thursday night.

Christie made his first appearance on the "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" since the scandal broke.

During the broadcast, the governor showed off his dance moves as part of the "Evolution of Dad Dancing" segment. He and Fallon also spoke about his weight loss, Eric Cantor's defeat, the Rangers, Bridgegate, and whether he could 'hypothetically' beat Hillary Clinton.

"Hypothetically? You bet," Christie responded.

"In a dance off," Fallon quickly added.

"That's what I was talking about. What were you talking about," Christie replied.

A political expert told me this week that as long as he can keep the crowd laughing about Bridgegate, the scandal will lose its power

Christie now heads to California for the next leg of his revival tour.
