Tonight CBS begins airing the final episodes of “Mike and Molly” after six years. The sitcom stars Melissa McCarthy and Billy Gardell and is about two overweight people who fell in love after meeting at an over-eaters anonymous meeting.

This may be the dumbest move CBS has ever made. First and foremost, the show is funny. Secondly, McCarthy may be the hottest actress in Hollywood. Her latest feature film ‘The Boss” beat “Batman Vs Superman” at the box office.

McCarthy’s also starred in such recent films as “Spy,” “St Vincent,” ‘Tammy,” and is set to star in the Ghostbusters reboot. According to Twitter, she is heartbroken over the cancellation.

So let me get this straight. You’ve got a sitcom starring one of the hottest actresses in Hollywood, who doesn’t want to leave, directed by James Brooks (whose credits include Taxi, Cheers, Frazier, and Friends) and you cancel it? Are you kidding me?

When you think about where this show could have gone, with the empowering episodes about McCarthy's 75-pound weight loss, the childbirth episodes, or whatever they felt like doing, instead, it will just be ending.

Great move, CBS! Maybe you can replace it with "CSI CBS." It’s moves like canceling "Mike & Molly" that can easily kill a network. Which show did you hate to see go? Comment below!
