Casino authority: No files breached in website hacking
ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. (AP) -- The Casino Reinvestment Development Authority says no files or confidential information were breached when hackers infiltrated the agency's website over the weekend.
But it's still not clear who committed the attack or why it occurred.
In a statement issued Monday, the CRDA said it believes the hack happened sometime Saturday night. Officials say someone then posted pro-terrorist messages that included statements such as "I am Muslim and I love jihad and I love isis." Some of the text also referred to the Islamic State.
The CRDA says the hack was disabled around 10:30 a.m. Sunday. The site was restored by early Sunday afternoon.
The FBI's Newark field office says its aware of the attack, but wouldn't say whether it was under investigation.
