Canadian Slider Jane Channell hit by broom on Skeleton track

You would think you would have enough obstacles riding down a cart on ice at extreme speeds, right? Wrong.While starting a run down the Skeleton track, Canadian Slider Jane Channell got interfered with by of all things, a runaway broom. Did someone think she needed MORE of a challenge during the race? Or did someone think that she wanted to get in a quick match of curling while heading down the track? We're not exactly sure of the rules of this competition but we're pretty confident that throwing brooms at the sliders isn't legal.

What gets lost in the race after "broom-gate" is that you see a minivan almost come on to the track as well later in the run. How many obstacles does this sport have?
