#BlueFriday: Honoring fallen NJ State Trooper Sean Cullen
This year I pledged to do something not only for the show but something that the audience can relate to and get behind. So every Friday is known as #BlueFriday. #BlueFriday is where we celebrate a NJ police officer who has gone above and beyond the call of duty to help others.
This week, we're honoring NJ State Trooper Sean Cullen, who died after being stuck by a vehicle as he stood alongside Rt. 295 in West Deptford at the scene of a car fire earlier this week.
Cullen was born in Ireland but came to the United States as a young child. Cullen was 31-years-old and left behind a fiancee and a 9-month-old son. It was Cullen's dream to be come a trooper.
A GoFundMe page was created to offer financial assistance to Cullen’s fiancee and son. The page has already raised more than $85,000.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends of trooper Sean Cullen. We want to honor his memory this week by making trooper Cullen this week's #BlueFriday honoree. Listen to our tribute and moment of silence on the air, in the clip below.
