Blue lines matter, but ‘rules are rules’

I'm an emotional guy. From crying at the end of Undercover Boss to yelling at the TV when hockey refs blow a call against my team, I get worked up. Could be from the Italian blood my grandparents passed down to me or maybe being raised here in Jersey?

But when it comes to arguing your point on social issues or politics, you only win with the facts and a proper analysis of the facts. Due to the unfair characterization of the police to outright assaults on our men and women in blue, it's easy to understand why some folks would want to go out of their way to support the police.

At the end of the day, rules are rules. We shouldn't make exceptions to show favor to one group or another.
