Join me this weekend as I'll be broadcasting live from the Asbury Park Music in Film Festival on both Saturday April 9 and Sunday April 10 from 10-3 p.m.!

I'll be broadcasting the big show live from the Asbury Park Convention Hall so come by and say hi! It's going to be a great weekend to bring New Jerseyans together to celebrate the rich history of music and film. We'll also being playing Jersey's favorite hits from our favorite movies as well!

Co-Founder and Co-President of Sony Pictures Classics, Tom Bernard dropped by to talk about the festival and how the movie "Miles Ahead," really set the tone for the weekend. Bernard also mentioned how they're already planning next year's festival, which will be even bigger and better.

One of the many films being shown during the festival is "Warrior Road." The movie has some deep Jersey roots , with music by Jersey legends Pat Guadagno and Bobby Bandiera. Executive Producer Denis Gallagher dropped by to talk to me about the project. You can see the full interview below.

The festival runs all weekend long and will take place in multiple locations around town from the historic Paramount Theater and House of Independents, to the Stone Pony and Wonderbar. Of course the town will be booming with tons of great music including Bobby Bandiera, Gene Cornish, John Eddie, Pat Guadagno with Rob Popparozi, Joe Grushecky and the Preservation Hall Jazz Band, and many more.

One of the legendary venues of Asbury Park, the Upstage Club, is the topic of an upcoming film by Tom Jones and the Halo Group. Calling the Upstage "an inspiration," Jones joined me to talk about the project and why it is important to tell the story about the venue.

The festival is all for a good cause as proceeds go to the Asbury Park Music Foundation which works to preserve, exhibit and promote the City of Asbury Park’s rich musical heritage – past, present and future – and to contribute to the City’s revitalization by securing Asbury Park as a musical destination.

You can get tickets by clicking here for each event separately or get a multi-event pass for $45 if you want to attend various events throughout the weekend.

If you can't make it to Asbury Park, keep checking back for updates with photos and videos from the event!
