Atlantic City Revenues Down Again March [AUDIO]
Atlantic City casino revenues were down again in March, 10.5 percent lower than March of 2012.
Revel saw an increase in revenue of nine percent in March versus February. Of the others, only one, the Atlantic Club, saw a year-over-year revenue increase of 33 percent last month.
Ken Wisnefski, of WebiMax in Mount Laurel, lives just outside of Atlantic City and visits frequently. He says part of the problem is a marketing campaign that includes confusing websites.
"If we're struggling with it, I'm going to make a pretty certain ascertation that people who may be a little bit far removed from this area are having much more difficulty in finding out what's going on."
Tourism officials hope a new marketing element unveiled this week focusing on specific Atlantic City events, and urging people to 'Do it now' will help.
The new campaign will utilize more than 3,000 TV ads, 5,000 radio commercials, and print and online ads.
