ATLANTIC CITY (AP) — Atlantic City's fire chief will collect nearly $13,000 a month in retirement even though surveillance video showed him dropping his pants at a security checkpoint.

City officials have decided not to release the results of their investigation into the March incident in which a woman working the metal detector said the chief dropped his pants when she asked Dennis Brooks to put anything metal on the table. She claimed the chief said he was "having a bad day."

City official Chris Filiciello tells The Press of Atlantic City  it's a personnel issue.

Brooks was put on administrative leave, but he retired on April 1. He had joined the fire department in 1979 and served as chief for more than 8 years.

His annual pension is nearly $221,000.
