This week, we invited you to show us your most beautiful pictures of New Jersey weather — from any season — for a chance to win four tickets to the Broadway musical "Beautiful: The Carole King" story.

The rules were simple: Download the New Jersey 101.5 app for Android or iOS, and on the left-side menu, hit "submit photo/video" and shoot your picture to us. It's a great way to show us what's happening in your corner of New Jersey anytime!

From vibrant sunrises and sunsets, to colorful rainbows, to happy sunshine, to ominous storm clouds, to wintry wonderlands, the quality and variety of photo submissions were spectacular!

Unfortunately, the task of selecting one winner falls to me. For my judging criteria, I decided to use the three-part theme of the contest: Beautiful New Jersey Weather. The winning photo 1.) had to be beautiful, 2.) had to represent some aspect of New Jersey's picturesque scenery, and 3.) had to focus on the weather.

And it's that third category that put our winner over the top, as she managed to capture a beautiful meteorological moment, typical of every Garden State summer. Yes, I like sun and snow a lot... But I love thunderstorms!

Congratulations to Christine Palumbo for her amazing shot of an ominous shelf cloud (thunderstorm) taken along Ocean Ave. in Spring Lake. In addition, the photo includes a bolt of lightning too! Impressive! Magnificent! Awe-inspiring! And BEAUTIFUL!

I have to call out a few honorable mention honorees too. I've literally been staring at these photos all morning, and it was SO hard to pick just one winner. Congrats to:
• Chris Farrar for his colorful "after the rain" photo on the Ocean City boardwalk
• Kathleen Campbell for her snowy sunrise/sunset scene, that truly belongs on a postcard
• Edward Walsh for his shot of puffy clouds and welcoming water along the Perth Amboy waterfront
• Marie Scalero for capturing an ominous shot of the NYC skyline from Hudson County
• David Meenan for his peaceful, snowy pic of Poricy Pond in Middletown

Thanks again to all who participated and congrats again to Christine. Have a "beautiful" trip to Broadway, and enjoy the show!
