Three New Jersey eateries will be featured in October, starting Friday, on the Food Network program "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives."

Host Guy Fieri sampled a handful of Garden State establishments in July, and the footage is slated to air over the next couple weeks.

Described on the Food Network site as a "world-class bagel shop," Bagel Street Grill in Plainsboro takes center stage on the 9 p.m. Friday episode.

Beyond showing off their dozens of varieties of bagels, including jalapeno cheddar and blueberry, the shop treats Fieri, and us, to their pork roll loaded burger.

"It's a hamburger and what we do is incorporate deep fried pork roll into the chopped meat, and we serve that on a grilled bagel with housemade thousand island dressing and we top it with tater tots," said co-owner Jimmy Rohr.

The shop in the Princeton Meadows Shopping Center had to close a couple days to accommodate the taping, but it was a great experience for the entire staff, Rohr said.

And next Friday, New Jersey takes up two-thirds of the program.

Vincentown Diner's executive chef, Jason Edgar, will whip up their mile-high meatloaf — complete with mashed potatoes, gravy and frizzled onions — and his own creation, an apple pie French toast.

"On top you get the salted caramel sauce, streusel crumble, whipped cream and some fresh mint," Edgar explained.

Pork belly disco fries and a fried green tomato burger are on the TV menu for the Rocky Hill Inn, also to be featured on next week's episode.

Chef and owner Evan Blomgren said the show will air on the televisions at the bar, but the gastropub isn't hosting a special event for the premiere.

Jammin' Crepes in Princeton also got a visit from Fieri and will be featured on a future episode, but the Food Network has not yet scheduled a date.
