It wasn't a good day for the New York Yankees or their fans during the 2015 home opener.    The New York Yankees, led by pitcher Masahiro Tanaka, were beat on the field by the Toronto Blue Jays by a score of 6-1. Yankees fans in attendance didn't have a much better afternoon either.

It is a time-honored tradition that when an opposing player hits a home run, if a fan of the home team catches it, they throw it back on the field. A fan who caught a home run from the Blue Jays' Edwin Encarnacion, attempted to throw the home run ball back but fell a bit short.

The owman, instead of throwing the ball back onto the field, threw it at the back of someone's head a few rows in front of her. The fan misjudged the distance to get the ball back to the field and instead of throwing the ball on an arc, she threw a line drive that landed at the back of a poor unsuspecting fan a few rows ahead of her.
