High temperatures yesterday were nothing short of astounding.  It was 78 at the Trenton-Mercer County Airport, 76 in Atlantic City, and 75 at Newark Liberty Airport.  It was every bit of 3 to 5 degrees above my low 70s that I had predicted for New Jersey yesterday.

Of course, it was noticeably cooler, just in the lower 50s, along the beach and boardwalk with a sea breeze.

Today, there will not be a sea breeze.  There will be lots of sunshine.  Guidance only has it as high as 73 or 74.  I think that is going to be too low again.  I'm going for mid to upper 70s with sunshine and unseasonably warm weather.

Some clear skies tonight with temperatures in some spots in the 40s, but 50 to 55 along coastal and urban areas.

Now, tomorrow there will be a wind off the ocean.  How much that tempers forecasted high temperatures inland remains to be seen.  I'm saying just the 60s inland, but cooler near the ocean with sunny to partly cloudy skies.

Some light rain or showers may be around on Friday with some highs in the 50s.
The weekend from here looks fine.
