Traffic Jams Start Early on Jersey Shore Roads

The traffic jams are starting early as tourists flock to the Jersey Shore ahead of Memorial Day Weekend.

@1:34 p.m. Interstate 195 in Robbinsville: Pockets of volume slow motorists on I-195 eastbound from Exit 1 - US 206 in Hamilton to Exit 7 - CR 526 in Robbinsville.

@1:32 p.m. Parkway in Toms River: Drivers southbound on the Parkway from North of Toms River Toll Plaza to Exit 82 - NJ 37 East in Toms River are facing a 2.5-mile delay, due to volume.

@1:03 p.m. on Parkway: Delays on the Parkway southbound have grown to 15 miles long beginning from North of Asbury Toll Plaza in Tinton Falls to North of Exit 88 - NJ 70 East in Lakewood Township.

@12:42 p.m. I-76: Motorists heading eastbound on the 42 Freeway are experiencing delays due to volume from the Walt Whitman Bridge in Gloucester City to Exit 1A - NJ 42/I-295 in Bellmawr.

@12:06 p.m. Parkway South: Southbound drivers are slowed by a 5-mile-long delay on the Parkway southbound in the area of the Monmouth Service area in Wall to North of Exit 90 - CR 549/ Chambers Bridge Road in Brick Township.
