Time to cut the grass
I don't know about you, and your yard, but I have found this summer (that technically ends on the calendar tomorrow), that I have to cut my grass every few days...at least once a week, or it looks "bad."
And, maybe you've heard in the last few days that Evesham Township (Burlington County) is taking this grass-appearance issue into its own hands! Banks and other official entities that don't keep up appearances on foreclosed homes would be fined up to $1,500 a day. Private individuals could face fines of $100 per day.
Whether you cut your own grass, or hire out to one of the grass cutting services...the sound of lawnmowers echo across the state of New Jersey.
Then, there are those homes where no grass cutting seems necessary, somehow...case in point:
This "overgrown yard" can be seen one one of my walks... Obviously, I'm not walking in Evesham Township while shooting these photos...
Clearly, part of the problem is that no one lives here this year...
Wait...there's more...
It looks so bad now...
...you would think that someone...the bank that holds the mortgage...or a Realtor...would cut the grass at SOME point, right? Again, think Evesham...
Sadly, I don't think that the average "riding tractor" (even a NEW one) is up to do the job!
And, as the pictures show, I've been "watching the grass grow" all season...
Of course, this is not the only Jersey home desperately needing some yard TLC!
Above, is just up the road from the first "overgrown" home! You can't make this stuff up!
Maybe, the homeowner behind the grassed-in fence can buy:
THIS farm/industrial size mower is available about a half mile up the road. Seriously!
Again...you can't make this stuff up!
I'm NOT done...
I pass this home (above and below), on my drive to New Jersey 101.5...
Where have you seen a home...that hasn't seen a lawnmower...in...forever?
And, just so that you know, this isn't a "new Jersey" phenomenon...
Its my favorite "overgrown home" LAST summer, when a family DID live there!
Last year...this year? Really, it makes no difference...
What my favorite overgrown home REALLY needs is:
I'm serious.
