Union Police have arrested a suspect in connection with three bank robberies.

James Glenn, 59, was arrested in a room at the Airport Hotel Inn of Elizabeth on Tuesday night. He had been hiding in the hotel room bathroom and was arrested without incident according to Union Police. Another man in the room, Jeffrey Myers of East Orange, was arrested on obstruction charges and was later released after detectives concluded he was not involved in any of the heists.

Union Police received a tip about Glenn's location after naming him as a suspect last week.

Glenn was charged with robbing the Connect One Bank on Chestnut Street twice and the Santander Bank, also on Chestnut Street.

Glenn is being held at the Union Police Headquarters jail on bail that has not been disclosed.
