The Jersey Prize Team: Weekend In Review

Last friday The Jersey Prize Team made two appearances in Middlesex County. First in Old Bridge in the afternoon and later that evening in New Brunswick.

As the winter season starts to come into focus our schedule does tend to slow down, but last Friday even though the temperature dipped into the 40's, attendance at our events was still terrific.

In the afternoon the Big Yellow Van stopped by Pathmark in Old Bridge, along with the New Jersey Lottery to promote their 'Pick 6' tickets. Very fitting the name of the event was called 'Pick 6' with The Jersey Prize Team. As people came over to see what all the excitement was about, they were given the chance to win some lottery tickets amongst other prizes!

Later that evening we were right on Livingston Ave. in New Brunswick to kick off 'Go Nuts for the Holidays!' The New Brunswick City Market was kind enough to provide us with passes to the State Theater, Stress Factory, George Street Playhouse and gift certificates to local restaurants. Even though it was near freezing there were tons of people flooding the streets to take in some of the great shows and different theatre performances that New Brunswick has to offer. Also standing out in the cold with us was members of Elijah's Promise; the local soup kitchen, Jimmy John's sandwiches and Filippo's Pizza was nice enough to bring us a MONSTER pie just as we were getting ready to leave. It was a great day to be in Middlesex County (one of my favorite places to be)!
