It's hard to believe we're talking about Thanksgiving in New Jersey. Before you know it, Christmas will be right around the corner.

And every year around this time, Christmas and holiday decorations start to overtake the landscape across New Jersey. Not only that, but we also prepare that travel to see our friends and family.

Or, maybe the company is coming to you? Whatever it may be, it's a time of year most throughout The Garden State look forward to.

With that said, we're also curious about the weather around the holidays. Especially with so much traveling happening, a clear and sunny day works more in our favor than a wet and sloppy one.

But what if it turns out to be more than that? What if we end up with extreme cold and measurable snow for the big Thanksgiving holiday?

It may be surprising to hear, but the answer to that is yes, we have had measurable snow on Thanksgiving throughout The Great Garden State. Although rare, it can and does happen from time to time.

But more often than not, the weather tends to cooperate for those traveling to see their loved ones for the holiday. Yes, it can get snowy, but that's not always the case.

According to New Jersey 101.5 Chief Meteorologist Dan Zarrow, the big Thanksgiving holiday in New Jersey usually consists of "morning lows in the mid-30s. Afternoon highs in the lower 50s. And it has rained a little more than a third of all Thanksgiving Thursdays... Only four of the last 129 Thanksgiving Days in New Brunswick recorded measurable snow."

So what is Dan's current thinking for the Thanksgiving of 2023? Will there be any snowflakes for this year's holiday feast?
