We received plenty of terrifying nightmare submissions over the weekend. The person with the scariest story wins five tickets to Six Flags Great Adventure. Don’t forget, you have until Wednesday, Oct. 19 to tell us about the scariest nightmare you’ve ever had! Here are some of our weekend submissions.

Here's a nightmare from a listener named Chris that involves a rather...interesting monster.

When I was a kid, around 5, I had a reoccurring dream that I was being followed and chased by a cow…the “Moo Moo Cow”…A giant, black cow with bright red eyes that evidently had a vendetta against me for crossing his fence. In the dreams, the cow would chase me through the woods and fields in the South Jersey neighborhood where my grandparents lived. The dreams were so vivid and scared me so badly that I would be constantly checking around the house for this cow. Couldn’t even go to the bathroom without opening the vanity and shower curtain first.

I can remember these dreams to this day. Somehow I managed not to grow up terrified of cows, but I like to think that I get my “revenge” on ole’ Moo Moo every time I order a steak!

While the monster in the previous nightmare had four legs, Bruce submits a nightmare with an inanimate object as the monster.

When I was just a child, I lived in North Central New Jersey with busy train tracks behind my house....I had one nightmare after another about the so called "Wicked Witch Train." It was a specific type engine that always went by my house with two lights around the front of the engine which made it look like a face with two lit up eyes. Almost every night I had this nightmare of it pulling up to my bedroom window and taking me away from my parents....it was so scary that at 59 years old it still seems so clear. I ended up crying and calling for my Mom every night.

Our final nightmare from the weekend is from Diana.

My reoccurring dream it that my family and I are driving in our car. My husband is driving ,I'm in the passenger seat , my older son Vincent is seated behind my husband and our 7 year old Rocco is behind me. While driving on a bridge that can open to have boats pass under. The bridge is open but nothing has stopped us. No light or signs. So we don't know it and the car becomes free falling over the edge. I start to panic and lock eyes with my oldest and yell for the boys to unbuckle themselves and open their windows. I say, "You get yourselves out no matter what and mommy WILL find you." As soon as the car hits water I wake up shaking. And immediately have to check on them. It frightens me just typing this.
