The main campus of Seton Hall University in South Orange has been evacuated due to an "unverified threat" according to the university website.

According to a statement on the South Orange Village website,  the South Orange Police Department received an anonymous bomb threat online.   SHU security was notified and began to evacuate the buildings.

The Star Ledger reports the threat stated there was a bomb "in every building" on campus.

The Essex County Sheriff’s Department’s Bomb Squad is currently conducting a search. The South Orange Police Department Detective Bureau, along with the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office, is investigating the case in an attempt to locate the source of the threat.
