The vigil begins at 5PM in the parking lot of the inn & restaurant on Bridge Street. The Remember Sarah Majoras Facebook page, which has organized the event says it will be "a nice night for the whole community to gather once more to celebrate an amazing person's life."

Attendees are asked not to park in the Lambertville Station parking lot and to be courteous to their surroundings. "The hotel and restaurant have been very accommodating and I'd love to leave the place as we found it," writes Joe Ujj, a longtime friend of Majoras who created the Facebook page. Candles will be provided; Ujj says the event will be done by 6:30PM.

The tight-knit communities of New Hope and Lambertville, separated by the Delaware River, and those who followed the case online are still trying to come to grips with Majoras' death.

Majoras lived with her boyfriend, who reported her missing. Friends said they were a happy couple.“They were absolutely devoted to each other. They belong together,” Gardner said. "I will light my candle in Annandale," posed one mourner on Facebook. Others say they will light candles in Cape May, north Jersey, San Francisco and Germany among other places.

Majoras' body was found in the Delaware & Raritan Canal on Thursday afternoon after she was last seen a week ago early Saturday. The Hunterdon County Medical Examiner's initial investigation shows no signs of foul play and has yet to determine a cause of death.
