Hunterdon County Prosecutor Anthony Kearns says his office continues to treat this as a missing person’s case and an active investigation.

“We have state police divers again – from the marine division – in the canal, they’re searching there, we continue our search on the ground,” Kearns said.

Officials Ask for Public's Help

“Our plea to the public now is if anyone has any information regarding where Sarah Majoras may be…if anyone was in the area, we’re asking them to come forward and  tell us if they saw anything, heard anything, or if they know of anyone who may have given Sarah a ride, " Kearns said.

He credits the public for coming forward with information, saying, "We’re gathering that information, making an assessment of that information and using it as we go forward. ”

Kearns adds, “While we have no substantial evidence of foul play, our minds remain open, we’re looking at all possibilities, and we continue to pursue any information we have in an attempt to make sense of what might have happened.”
