Return policies for New Jersey’s biggest stores
Thank you ... so much. I don't have anything like this. It's so ... thoughtful. I don't think I'd have ever thought to buy a pink polka dot necktie and matching boxer briefs ...
We've all been there. Sometimes, loved ones with the best intentions pick out the worst possible gifts. Or maybe they know you so well they buy you something you've already purchased 10 of for yourself.
Now that the holiday season has finally come to a close, it's time we return to, well, the return season. Here are the policies at some of New Jersey's biggest retailers:
Gift cards and gift certificates: Most stores won't accept returns on gift cards, but New Jersey and federal laws do put certain consumer protections in place. A gift card or certificate can't expire within 5 years of its purchase. If less than $5 remains on a gift card, the card owner can ask for the remaining amount in cash.

If you're returning an item without a receipt, BB&B will look it up for you if you know other details of the purchase, such as the credit card number used or an order number (and if it can't find a record, will return 80 percent of the current selling price). There are special conditions for PayPal, truck delivery and international returns. See complete details here.
