Take a seat...RELAX...as we wind down the long "4th of July Party Hits Weekend!"

I was out walking this afternoon, and came across this chair by the side of the road. It looked so inviting, that I sat down for a few minutes, and watched the world go by.

When I was ready to resume my walk, I decided to take a picture of this somewhat unusual scene.

As I have mentioned before, my camera is always at the ready! Truly, I never know when I am going to find something interesting...nor do I always know at that moment how I am going to use the picture. Anyway...

As I am composing the shot, I see a vehicle approaching (top picture).

Hmmmm....

YIPPEE!

It's an ice cream truck....YUM!

Coincidentally, when I was sitting in with Jim Gearhart last Monday morning, engineering the show, we were talking, on-air, about the fact that July is National Ice Cream month!

In 1984, President Ronald Reagan proclaimed July "National Ice Cream Month," and the third Sunday of July as "National Ice Cream Day" (July 19th, this year).

The International Ice Cream Association says about 90 percent of Americans enjoy their product. Further, about 10.3 percent of all the milk produced by U.S. dairy farmers is used to produce ice cream!

Might I suggest that you grab a chair...RELAX...and enjoy some ice cream (if you have any room left, after all the eating--and partying--this weekend).

In the meantime...excuse me...I think I hear that ice cream truck...
