Official Says Hammonton Slayings Not Random

Authorities say they're close to filing charges in the murders of a woman and her adult son in Hammonton.

Atlantic County Prosecutor Ted Housel would not release details. But Housel says the slayings of 64-year-old Diana Patterson and 29-year-old Ryan Patterson were not random.

An autopsy determined Ryan Patterson sustained more than 20 stab wounds and his mother sustained more than 10 wounds. They were found slain inside their home two weeks ago.
