Authorities say no charges will likely be filed in the death of a woman who was struck and killed by a vehicle while trying to cross Route 73 in Maple Shade.
Maple Shade police say 24-year-old Christina Meekins of Burlington City had just left a convenience store and was headed back to an apartment complex when she was hit early Friday in a southbound lane of Route 73. She was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.

No other injuries were reported in the accident, and authorities have not disclosed the driver's name.

Meekins was in the area to visit with a friend who lives in the apartment complex.
